Frequently Asked Questions

Who qualifies, the horse or the exhibitor?

The horse qualifies in all classes except in the case of equitation and academy, where the rider is qualified.  Standard USEF rules apply for qualifying divisions.

How is the CSC different from ASAC?

We are not an association, we are simply a circuit consisting of existing horse shows that act as qualifiers for our CSC Championship.  We support ASAC, as it’s horse show is a qualifier for the championship, but ASAC points are completely separate.

Is there a membership fee to be a part of the CSC?

There are no membership fees associated with the CSC.  Our show is a USEF rated show, so USEF requirements apply.

Is there a fee for Affiliated Shows?

Yes, Affiliate Shows will apply annually.

How do I qualify?

In order to qualify for the CSC Championship, you must compete in a minimum of five classes at a minimum of three qualifying shows throughout the year.

Can I qualify in two different divisions?

Yes, but you may only show in one division with the qualified horse at the championship.  Exception:  You may show in two divisions if Open English Pleasure is one of your divisions.   Standard USEF rules apply for cross-entering divisions at the championship and Open English Pleasure is allowed to cross enter.

Do I have to declare a division?

No, the CSC does not require that you confirm a division so long as the qualifications are met.

Do I have to be from North Carolina or South Carolina to compete in the championship?

No, the owner/exhibitor/trainer can be from any state so long as they qualify according to the rules of the CSC.
